What is a three quarter way house?
It is a structured and supervised residential living facility for people reentering their comm unties who still require minimal assistance and supervision. These house are sometimes referred to as drug free residences, recovery residences, 12 step house or clean and sober houses. Most clients are referred after completing treatment for drug or alcohol and are given a prescribed length of stay at a three quarter way house to ease and ensure a successful transition back into their home community. It is a structured environment with rules and curfews to help clients become accustomed to daily routines once more. A client may be referred after a outside treatment program or a client can volunteer for three quarter house living on their on volition is they feel they would benefit from a clean, safe drug and alcohol free structured environment in which to live. Whether a person is seeking rehabilitation, fulfilling a court order or undergoing detoxification clients can extend their stay as long as needed in order to feel comfortable and confident before returning to their home community. Court and probation monitoring and reporting can be made a part of a house contract and is supported by staff. Other assistance programs can be tailor made or an individual clients
